Your final menu selections must be turned in thirty (30) days prior to your event (unless otherwise stated in your Contract). Approved Banquet Event Orders are due fourteen (14) days prior to your event. Changes beyond this time cannot be guaranteed.
A food and beverage minimum is required when reserving a banquet space at our property. Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa offers culinary delights that showcase Maui and Hawaiʻi cuisine designed to elevate your event. You can review our published catering menu so you can start planning and exploring an unforgettable event.
Guarantee of attendance is required by 10:00 AM HST, seven (7) business days prior to your event. If guarantee is not received, he expected number of guests will serve as the guaranteed number. The Hotel will overset 3% above the guarantee if more than 100 guests.
All Food and Beverage served on property must be purchased through the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa, and must be prepared on site. No outside food and beverage is allowed to be served in any function space and venues.
A service charge, currently twenty-five percent (25%), plus all applicable state and local taxes, currently at 4.712%, is subject to change without notice, will be added to venue site fee, food and beverage charges. This includes a gratuity of 18.9% of total food and beverage revenue for banquet employees. No other fee or charge is a tip, gratuity, or service charge for an employee.
The hotel offers a complete selection of beverages including non-alcoholic beverages for your event. The hotel does not permit alcohol to be brought onto the premises from outside sources without special advanced authorization from the hotel. The hotel will assess a negotiated corkage fee for all wine brought in for an event. Special orders can be coordinated through your Event Manager.
To expand the variety of our offerings, we will be happy to tailor a menu to your specific taste and needs. Additional fees may apply for special orders or preparations. Dietary restrictions may be accommodated upon request if notified in advance. We take allergies very seriously. It is the Group’s responsibility to notify the Hotel of the guest’s name, contact information, and known allergy restrictions in advance of the event. Vendor Meals and Children’s Meals are offered at half price (prior to sales tax & service charge), if having the same meal as the group. We consider a child to be 2-12 years of age. There will be no charge for children under 2 years.
Request made for house linens, house tables and house banquet chairs that are set by the hotel will be set 2 hours prior to event start time. Sheraton Maui bases set up on contracted start times. Set up changes within 2 hours of the event start time will incur a surcharge starting from $500+ or more depending on request. Double set charges for primary space and back up venue will incur a $5,000+ fee and require 48 hours in advance notice.
Bartender Fee: One bar tender is required per100 guests. $300.00 plus tax per Bartender (minimum of two hours). Each additional hour at $75.00 plus tax per Bartender.
Chef Attendant: Chef attendant fee is $350 plus tax per station and is based on 90 minutes of continuous service.
Ceremony & All Receptions: Curfew for all outdoor events is 10:00 PM. Amplified sound levels must be kept in compliance with the Hotel, County of Maui and State of Hawaii laws, ordinances and regulations. Any on-site extension of an event beyond 4 hours of the event start time will be charged $300.00 plus tax per server and $175.00 per hour/per bartender attendant. If an event is scheduled to go past the 10:00 PM curfew, an indoor space can be secured from 10:00 PM - 12:00 AM at an additional cost.
