I am a Humanist Officiant, licensed to solemnize marriage in the Province of Ontario.
I specialize in writing personalized, non-religious wedding ceremonies. As an atheist, I do not represent a church or religious ministry. My professional accreditation is through Humanist Canada, which is a not-for-profit organization established in 1968 to promote secular laws, universal human rights, and marriage equality. We welcome couples of every ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and cultural heritage.
My background includes a B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and a B.A. in Philosophy, both from the University of Waterloo, and a lifelong love of languages. I offer fully bilingual ceremonies in English, French, Spanish, and Persian, as well as readings in Italian, Greek, and Latin.
My goal is to create and deliver a beautiful, memorable ceremony that represents your own values. I am always happy to take special requests, such as writing your own vows to each other, including a role for a friend or family member, or including a meaningful quote from Harry Potter in your ceremony—anything to make your ceremony reflect the two of you and the love that brings you together.
