Beautiful scenery for a wedding — An Eventective User from Kalamazoo

This is a great modern venue located on the campus of Western Michigan University. It is available for conferences and shows but my experience was with a wedding. They had plenty of dressing room area, a wonderful dinning hall, and large windows with stunning views of a large garden area. All the facilities needed for a large wedding and banquet. The only bummer was that we had to clean everything up ourselves afterwards but with a large gang of people it went very quickly. Can accommodate a larger wedding easily. Ours was around 120. Plenty of parking because this is located on campus. It's about 5 minutes from the interstate 131 and about 15 minutes from interstate 94. I really think you should consider this place if you are looking for a more modern facility. This is not a church by any means but they do have interesting decor. The main reception area has a small exhibit about John Fetzer, whom the facility is named after. It includes several artifacts from Fetzer's past including some radio equipment he designed and some things relating to the Detriot Tigers (He owned the team for a while.) There aren't any playgrounds in the area though, which would have been nice for the children. But in reality that is being a bit picky. All in all a great venue for a wedding and even better for a large conference or event. If you are an alumni to Western Michigan University I believe they may give you a discount as well.
