Fantastic view, helpful event planner, great price point — An Eventective User from Indianapolis IN

We held a wedding anniversary party in the Rick's Cafe Boatyard upper room. It was fantastic. First, the price point was less than other venues in the city. We were watching our budget, but wanted a very nice party. This was important to us. Next, the event planner worked carefully with us to prepare an economical but delicious menu for the buffet. We spoke several times. Planning the event was almost painless with their help. They were so helpful, and answered all of my questions. Next, the view of the lake was spectacular. It helped that our party was on a balmy day in June, and the lake was just lovely. And the view from the upper room could not have been better. The room itself was spacious and lovely. We had a very large party, but it could have held much more. The tables and seating arrangements were nicely handled as well. We wanted to bring in our own musicians, and Rick's Cafe were extremely accommodating with all of that. On the day of the party, they made sure the food was put out after the guests had just arrived, so it would be hot and fresh. I strongly recommend Rico's dip. It includes chicken, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, salsa, and more. It is like an ultra-fancy "nacho" dish. We love it. The event planner checked in on us from time to time to make sure our event was going well. When the food ran thin, (everyone else loved the Rico's dip too) they reviewed our options with us, so our guests might continue to have refreshments at the price point that made the most sense to us. I cannot even think of a "down side" to this venue. It was perfect for us, and we will use it again.
