We had our Rehearsal Dinner in the Macatawa Room at Boatwerks. It's a beautiful room, with an amazing view of Lake Macatawa. The food was excellent and the service the evening of the event was attentive. We had a great evening celebrating the couple the "night before" the wedding.

We brought a group of new sales people from Chicago to Holland for a quick day trip and decided to stop at Boatwerks. Hannah was very easy and friendly to work with during the entire process. We were limited with time since we had a very full agenda, and the Boatwerks staff were very attentive and accommodating, and we were able to seamlessly stay on track. The food was excellent, too!

Boatwerks was a lovely place to host our wedding. The food and drinks were great and you couldn't beat the views of the water! The staff were friendly and provided great service. One item for improvement would be to ensure boats do not park behind the ceremony space. We had to asks some boaters to move their boats before the ceremony that were in bathing suits which they kindly did but I feel Boatwerks could have been more proactive. Another item for improvement is parking is slim, luckily they had valet but we did have some family members that needed to be there early for photos that were unable to find a spot nearby. We enjoyed the venue overall!

The only downside was it was a hot day outside and the A/C wasn’t working very well and it was very hot in the room. Also, the staff didn’t have drinks ready for our head table. However, Hannah was super helpful in making it the perfect day for us!

I was truly able to focus on the event at hand instead of worrying about food, catering, etc. I appreciated all of Hannah’s event knowledge and recommendations. She helped us set up a catering delivery from Boatwerks for our Grand Re-Opening event and she helped walk us through every detail. If you work with Redwater, the spinach and artichoke dip is a must!

We held our corporate client appreciation open house social at Boatwerks, hosted through Redwater. We love working with Redwater and continue to come back to them every year. Boatwerks is a beautiful venue and the patio is a MUST! Working with Hannah and Christie was a dream come true. If you want to truly enjoy your event and not worry about the food or the venue, this is the place for you. It was such a relief to direct my attention towards our clients and event goers, rather than having to worry about the food or track down staff members. Also, everyone has to try the spinach and artichoke dip!

Our guests had a great time at Boatwerks for their event. This was a lunch event with a program for roughly 120 people. We used the screen and projector for a presentation which worked out perfectly. Guests were served the parmesan chicken which many guests raved about. Service was great and the location doesn't get much better.

I hosted my sister’s baby shower at Boatwerks, and will always recommend this venue to friends/family. The staff are always so friendly, welcoming, and very helpful! The food/beverage options are always exactly what we are looking for. The shower was absolutely perfect and couldn’t have gone any better.

We recently hosted a shower here and could not have had a more ideal experience. It began with the event planner who answered all my questions and never made me feel any detail was too small to be considered. When it came to day-of, the staff was outstanding! They were so friendly and helpful--everyone had such a "can-do" attitude and was so professional. The room is gorgeous--filled with light that pours in from windows all around and a neutral canvas for whatever colors and decorating plans you have for your event. The soaring ceilings give such a light and airy ambience and the tables are dressed and set beautifully. The attention-to-detail that's displayed by staff really shows and makes for an exceptional experience. And let's talk about the food!! We chose to serve brunch and it was the best brunch I personally have ever tasted! We continue to hear comments from our guests regarding how delicious the food was and how gorgeous the room was. The presentation of food is truly outstanding. The buffet was even decorated with napkin rosettes! Food was served at a perfect temperature and it all looked (and tasted) so fresh and gourmet. Staff were so attentive to every need and yet never intrusive. They made the day go perfectly and I was able to just relax and enjoy the event...and so were all of our guests. I recommend HIGHLY!

We had a fantastic experience hosting a private lunch at Boatwerks in their Macatawa Room for a special 90th birthday celebration. The staff was wonderful from start to finish—our event planner helped us create the perfect layout, and our server was so attentive and accommodating. The food was great, and we loved being able to use their TV to play a slideshow. The space was bigger than we needed, but that turned out to be a plus, giving us extra room for the kids. And, of course, the lake views were beautiful. Thank you, Boatwerks, for helping make this celebration so special!

We recently held our company Christmas party with Boatwerks. The staff was amazing, incredibly helpful, and very friendly. The environment was fantastic. Our reserved room was perfect for our group, conveniently located, and reasonably priced. We opted to go with plated entrees for our group of roughly 30. I think in the future, I would go with the buffet style dinner as I didn't feel the plated options were the quality I expected for the price. Entrees & desserts were top notch, do NOT skimp on these as they were a huge hit with our group! Overall a lovely experience, we are sure to return!

We really enjoyed this venue for our son’s rehearsal dinner. It was a gorgeous spring evening in Michigan so having Lake Macarawa as the backdrop was perfect! The staff was super helpful in all the planning and I thought the menu options were very extensive (buffet or plated dinners… gluten free, dairy free… cupcakes and ice cream sundae bar as dessert choices, etc. The staff was professional and we enjoyed having a hosted bar even though our party was just under 40. We had an amazing time!

The BEST place to have your wedding! Boatwerks was an incredible wedding venue. We got married this past weekend and it went off without a hitch. All the employees (Hannah, waitstaff, cooks, bartenders, et al) were all professional and couldn’t say enough about the quality of service they provided.

There are 2 spots to get drinks (indoor/outdoor) and folding doors to dance in and out. Also outdoor cocktail tables. Drinks were poured well.
The FOOD WAS RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING. We loved the beer and salmon served plates and so did all of our guests. Also loved the potatoes and green beans. The cakes, cupcakes, and gluten free cupcakes were also incredible.
Guys/gals get changing suites and can order drinks to them. Perfect for getting ready close by. Speaking of close by, Kollen park is a stones throw away for gorgeous pictures.

I loved the food we had for our dinner after the ceremony. Hannah put a vegetarian option for my one vegetarian, by giving her a choice between three different options. I presented the options and she told me it was excellent! The food overall was very good, and all my selections were made amazingly. I am VERY happy that we choose Boatwerks to hold the event. We choose the green beans, marble potatoes & penne pasta with the beef and the chicken!

We recently had our wedding at Boatwerks, and we cannot recommend it enough! Our guests had an incredible time, and some even said it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. We did not have or hear a single complaint the entire night. If you are in Michigan looking for a waterfront location that has both indoor and outdoor areas, look no further! We were initially worried about the restaurant being right next door, but we never even noticed on the day of. We used the spot for both ceremony and reception and used the suites to get ready. We loved every second of our day there!

The waterfront views of the lake from this wedding dinner venue is just awesome. The event coordinator was great at suggestions to make things so easy. The food was fresh, hot, and served on time, and then either cleared or replenished immediately and the staff was on top of everything, and very friendly. Would recommend to all to host an event at this venue.

We scheduled a family reunion during Tulip Time Festival and gathered at Boatwerks with about 70 of us present. The dining room was spacious, easily accommodating all of us, and its many windows afforded us a wonderful view of the lake.
The buffet lunch was right on schedule, hot, and tasty.
Screen and tech hookups made video presentations easily accessible.
All in all, an ideal venue for group events.

I recently hosted a large dinner event with over 100 guests, including a cocktail hour, dinner service and guest presenter. The accommodations, views, the waitstaff, bartenders were all so helpful, kind and professional. The event manager took time to meet with me prior to the event, checked in before leaving the evening of our event and did a warm handoff welcome to the new manager on duty for the evening to ensure no questions or requests went unanswered. We received many compliments on the evening. We look forward to doing future events here.

Boatwerks was one of the best choices I made for our wedding - what an AMAZING space to host a reception! You cannot beat the views, especially if you are blessed with amazing weather like we were! The indoor space is large (we had around 150 guests) and it did not feel crammed at all! The staff was a huge help in creating the layout I wanted for the space as well, and I loved that they did both long and round tables! The outdoor space plus an additional bar outside was great, and there were never any lines waiting to get a drink. The only caveat I had was they really had all my vendors in crunch time since they allow them in at 2pm to start setting up (with guests arriving at 4:30pm), therefore I had to pay for extra hours for my vendors to be let in early and have enough time to set up. Other than that, the food was amazing per usual at this restaurant and the staff helped me pick the best sides that were "in season" and that plated well. Overall, I would book this space again for my reception if I had to!
