Gail did a fantastic job officiating our wedding. We were traveling from NV and meeting up with family in VA and the wedding was a surprise to the family so a lot of moving parts had to come together and Gail was instrumental in the event going off without a hitch. Our wedding was small and casual and brief but Gail still made it special and added enough soft touches to keep it memorable. Gail also helped us with all the how/when/where's of getting married in VA since we were from another state.

I truly cannot say enough great things about Gail! From the first time we spoke to the wedding day, she was absolutely wonderful!
She was incredibly thorough during the consultation and answered many of my questions before I even had a chance to ask them! Prior to my interview with Gail, my husband (still feels weird to say) and I discussed the traditional vows and though we wanted them to stay traditional we also weren't comfortable with some of the phrasing (honor and obey). I was nervous about asking for this change but before I could even bring the topic up Gail explained that though she kept the vows traditional she substituted/removed certain phrases, one being "honor and obey". For her to already be on the same page as us made our decision to hire her clear from the start and I don't think a better decision could've been made.
She was polite, prompt and the vows she gave during the ceremony were absolutely beautiful! It's clear when you interact with Gail that it's her true passion to marry people. The way she speaks about it, the enthusiasm she shows, she simply loves, well, love! Working with someone who loves what they're doing so much is a wonderful feeling.
I recommend Gail to any and every couple looking for an incredible marriage officiant. You will not be disappointed in the amazing service that she provides!

Gail was such a considerate, kind, and reliable person from the very first phone call consultation, through our follow-up question/review calls, and during the ceremony. The process of consultation and completing the paperwork was a breeze because Gail was so thorough. Definitely eased my wife’s and my own anxious minds! We were reassured and comforted by the fact that Gail covered everything with us and made the process super easy so we didn’t have to stress (much, haha) before our big day.
The ceremony itself was beautiful. Gail’s speech was so poetic, and she did not make any stereotypical remarks or comments about us two ladies getting married. She has married LGBT+ folks for many years, which was also super reassuring. During our search for an officiant, I had been worried who we might find, especially after my brother and his wife had a officiant who made remarks during his speech about stereotypical gender roles husbands and wives have had. Big yikes. So when we found Gail on EnGAYged and saw that she used gender-neutral language, did not include any religious aspect if it was not wanted, and focused on the joy and love that should be celebrated in a ceremony, we knew we found a great officiant. We are so thankful that she was the one to unite my wife and I in marriage.

On our first phone call she spoke with us for over an hour on things that we may not have otherwise known in regards to obtaining a marriage license and what would be necessary to bring with us. She was open to writing our ceremony however we wished and gave us guidance on what we could include in our ceremony. She answered all of our questions and she ended up performing a hand fasting ceremony for us which was beautiful and one of our favorite moments throughout the day.
