We had our wedding and reception at the Frederik Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, MI. It was an amazing venue. The place is amazing just as a place to visit on your own, but even better for an event! I had attended events here before and was always amazed by how well they were run and how beautiful the venue was. We were able to rent a room that overlooked the beautiful gardens for our wedding ceremony and then rented half of the grand ballroom (you can rent half or full, we had a small wedding so we did half). The grand ballroom also overlooks the beautiful gardens. We were able to go out into the gardens for pictures and can you imagine the pictures we got! Fall in Michigan in this beautiful setting was more than I could ask for. Another great perk, all of your guest can tour the gardens for free, normally a 12 dollar entrance fee! We were also impressed by the professional staff. We were given a wedding planner to help us plan and execute our day for no cost. Additionally we were able to choose from 4 catering companies, all of which are great caterers and had a range of prices to fit your budget. I was amazed and impressed by how beautiful and well run my wedding was and I owe it all to them! I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful and unique setting and something your guests will love and remember! People are still talking about our wedding!
