No Place Like It — An Eventective User from Hubbardston, Massachusetts

My favorite wedding venue is by far the Colonial Hotel in Gardner. It is a family owned and run business, and the owner Nikki, is very friendly to everyone. I have never seen her in a bad mood, and she remains professional at all times. I first stumbled upon this place when I was house hunting about ten years ago. The hotel has a very homey yet majestic feel to it. A few years later I attended a wedding there and their ball room was very beautiful and large. The food was delicious and it was made by the hotel's resident chef. All the weddings that I have attended here have been gorgeous and the staff is very friendly. There is a pub and restaurant, a pool, and a gym on premise so it's nice for your guests to stay in as well. I recently had my own wedding here and it came out as gorgeous as well. The owner is with you every second of the way, making it feel like they really do care about you. The food is delicious as well in the restaurant and they have a wide selection of beers and alcohols in the pub. One of the best things about this place is that all of their services are open every day of the year, including Christmas. It is located a short distance from Wachusett Mountain so it's perfect if you need activities to do in the area. I eat at this restaurant a few times every year and there are a lot of honeymooners that stay here as well, making it very convenient if you want to wed and vacation in the same spot. In the summer they have a gorgeous patio area where you can have your wedding, and personally it's my favorite! I would recommend the Colonial Hotel to any one who is looking for a spot to host their wedding!
