After the ceremony, we offer two banquet spaces for receptions: The McKenzie Hall and the McKenzie House. The Hall’s spacious central room, with its many glass doors, opens out to a large patio surrounded by lush Florida gardens and is the perfect facility for any special occasion. Elegantly designed with high ceilings, Victorian light fixtures, and exposed trusses, the McKenzie Hall speaks of times past. The historic McKenzie House, a magnificent three-story Victorian home listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

Our wedding took place at the Sweetwater Branch Inn in Gainesville, FL. The facility can hold up to 100 people for both a garden wedding and indoor reception. It also has guest rooms available. The staff and event planners were very easy to work with. We attended a tasting before the wedding, and the food was carefully and thoughtfully made. We were able to stay within budget, by choosing what features we did and did not want. They take care of the catering, and you are responsible for bringing in the alcohol, though they will bartend it for you. Overall, I was impressed, and our wedding photos in the lovely garden will last a lifetime.
