Brand New Day, a Medicare Advantage health plan that offers members several benefit options designed to meet their special needs, is now available in Fresno, said Executive Vice President Jay B. Davis. The program allows Medicare-eligible members to gain access to programs and services beyond original Medicare. In fact, many Brand New Day plans are available without premiums and copayments for primary care doctor visits. For qualifying members, the plan covers transportation to and from medical appointments; vision, dental and acupuncture services; 24-hour/day nurse line; and health and life coaches.
Brand New Day has contracted with some of Fresno’s most desirable physician groups including Santé Community Physician IPA Medical Group, Kova Healthcare and La Salle Medical Associates.
“We are delighted to offer our Brand New Day program to the dynamic and ever-burgeoning Fresno community,” said Davis. “We are partnering with some of the region’s most desirable medical groups, which allows members to select from a large network of physicians while enjoying additional benefits offered by Brand New Day. Our goal is to help members navigate the complex healthcare system so they can achieve optimal health.”
Brand New Day is the Medicare product name of Universal Care, Inc., a privately held California Knox-Keene Healthcare Service Plan licensed by the California Department of Managed Health Care and contracted with the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services as a Medicare Advantage contractor.
