From the moment I arrived, the scenery felt like it was designed for photography. The river surrounding the island creates constantly changing reflections throughout the day. Early mornings bring soft mist and golden light that beautifully wraps around the trees and water, making sunrise shoots incredibly rewarding. In the evenings, the warm tones of sunset reflect across the river, creating a calm and cinematic environment that’s perfect for landscape and lifestyle photography.
What stood out most was the variety of visual elements within a small area. Mike and his team were so phenomenal from start to finish. We toured the venue, and immediately knew it was the the place we wanted to get married. He made the entire process seamless and was so helpful in picking great vendors and organizing our weekend at GRIR. We went with Vesuvius Pizza for pizza the night before and BBQ the day of the wedding, Chris Kovaz for photography, The Dream Bar for drinks, and DJ Eric and his wife Melissa for DJ and wedding coordinating. All of the vendors were 5 stars. Mike's staff was instrumental in setting up the seating and decorations on the day of the wedding. The venue is absolutely stunning and kept in great condition. Mike is quick to answer for anything you need. Would recommend him, his best vendors, and his staff to anyone looking to have an unforgettable wedding day or weekend! Evan & Cass
