What do we do after the wedding is over?

Our location is perfect for those who want to keep the party going even after it ends. One block up you will find the Historic Folsom Sutter Street with nightlife! But if your guests are tired, they can “take the elevator home.”

What are your payment policies/schedule?

The first payment, due with a signed contract, is the total amount of rental fees of the spaces you are securing. We require a second payment 90 days after you book, which is 50% of your food and beverage minimum. Your final payment is due 14 business days prior to your event and is based off your final head count which would be due at that time. Should you book within 120 days of your event, the first and second payments are required upon booking. We accept all major credit cards, cash, personal check or cashier’s checks. Payments made after 14 business days prior to the event must be in the form of a credit card.

Is there a place for the wedding couple/bridal party to get ready on property?

As part of your wedding package, you will receive a complimentary traditional room for the night of your wedding to act as your lodging and getting ready area. The Lake Natoma Inn will set up a hotel room account with discounted prices for you and your guests upon a signed contract. All rooms and rates are subject to availability and we suggest reserving rooms as soon as possible as room availability and rates change frequently. Hotel rooms are handled separately from your wedding contract. We HIGHLY recommend upgrading from the complimentary traditional room to a Premium Suite, booking the night prior & night of the event, this way you can check-in after rehearsal and wake up wedding day to start getting ready! If your wedding group has 20 or more paid room nights, the wedding couple will receive a complimentary Suite (Restrictions Apply). In order for your guests reservations to count towards your group account, they must book direct with the hotel and not through a third party

Do you accommodate to special dietary needs/restrictions?

Of course! Please let us know of any allergens so we can coordinate your menu with our chef.

Can I have my dog at the wedding?

Abso-woofing-lutely! Dogs are allowed to participate in your ceremony only. Unfortunately, they are unable to be inside the reception room. If you want your furry friend to go into a hotel room or stay overnight, additional charges apply. This exception is for poochies involved with ceremonies only!

What is the back up plan for the ceremony in case of rain?

In the event of rain or extreme weather, we will move your ceremony to an indoor ballroom, IF one is available. If a separate ballroom is NOT available, all ceremonies will have to be performed in their reserved reception room and performed as a “tableside” ceremony. We won’t let the weather stop us!

Can my desserts/cake be refrigerated prior to the wedding?

We do offer refrigeration for your desserts/cake only the day of the wedding. Storage space is limited, therefore we do not offer additional refrigeration for things such as flowers. Should you wish to store other items prior, please see if we are able to accommodate.

Is event insurance required?

Yes, we require a certificate of liability insurance to cover the general aggregate up to 1 million dollars for the day of the event. You should list the hotel as the event location/additional insured. We recommend contacting your own insurance first for home/car as they may do it for free since you are already insured, and tack it on as a day of coverage. There are a few websites we recommend. You can shop around to compare prices if you would like.

Do we get to try the food?

We have our “Date to Taste” event typically 1-2 times a year. This is a group tasting and is a sampling of some of our most popular items. Two people are complimentary and additional guests are $40 each. Depending on when you sign a contract, you may or may not be able to make it to a tasting dependent on the date we choose to host them. You will be notified of a tasting via email so you can RSVP in advance.

What vendors do we need to get?

The vendors you would need to secure include the following: Florist/Decor, Officiant, Photographer/Videographer, Ceremony & Reception Music/DJ/MC, Cake/Dessert. We have a preferred vendor list upon request.
