Originally, 137 Events was built in 1938 as the Kaweah Movie Theater. The building is in the heart of historic downtown Exeter, and has seen many owners throughout the years. In 1978, it was purchased by the same family that owns it today and has now been given new life as 137 Events. At this time, the total venue can hold up to 250 people indoors and outdoors, and provides you with a space completely private to you and your guests.

137 Events is an amazing venue!! The owners were absolutely wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to help make everything run seamlessly for my daughter’s wedding. The venue itself was beautiful inside and out with the lights and exposed brick that my daughter wanted. The indoor setup was fantastic! It was nice and comfortable for our guests when the weather was a little warm and the outside was magical and perfect for the ceremony! We highly recommend this venue and hope to use it again for another special occasion!
