Franklin Park Conservatory is Awesome! — An Eventective User from Columbus, Ohio

Franklin Park Conservatory is a perfect wedding site if you want, as we did, a verdant landscape and plenty of room. Our ceremony itself was backdropped by one of the most luscious views in Columbus, and our guests had plenty of room to wander, mingle, and enjoy the beauty of the temporary and permanent exhibits. We are lovers of art, though not botany in particular, so we were attracted by the beauty of the gardens and the gorgeous glasswork that runs the length of the main corridor. Our ceremony was beautiful, but the main advantage of the Franklin Park Conservatory is not the beautiful setting for the vows, but the entire park surrounding the facility. We were married in the midst of some of the most beautiful flowers in the region, and we didn't pay a cent for them (aside from the facility rental fee). Overall, we had an outstanding experience. Our only complaint is that the facility limits catering to a select list, so our food options for the reception were more limited than we would have liked. This turned out not to be a huge deal for us, but it is something to consider, especially if the meal will be an important part of your reception.
