Ainae is a Washington D.C.-based R&B/Pop artist whose soulful sound is deeply rooted in her diverse heritage – Ethiopian, Black American, and Caribbean. Inspired by legends like Jamiroquai, Erykah Badu, and Lauryn Hill, Ainae's music blends smooth melodies with introspective lyrics that explore the full spectrum of the human experience – from love and loss to dreams and fantasies.
Ainae's journey began at eight, penning heartfelt songs in her journal. This early passion blossomed into an earnest pursuit during college, where she honed her craft through live performances, band collaborations, and the release of her EP. Her last single, "Numb," garnered over 25,000 streams, opening doors for paid gigs and exciting collaborations.
Ainae's talent has been recognized nationally, having appeared on Season 20 of The Voice as part of Kelly Clarkson's team. She has also achieved a career highlight by performing at her dream venue, Union Stage, to a packed house.
