About The Chapel Restoration

On the banks of the Hudson River, against the romantic backdrop of the Highlands, The Chapel Restoration is a beautiful ecumenical venue for weddings and other private ceremonies. Built in 1833 in the Greek Revival style, it is located in the charming 19th century village of Cold Spring, Putnam County, New York. The chapel is open from April 1 through November 30. The chapel is a simple meeting room with three sections of enclosed pews and two aisles, seating 84 people on the main floor and another 10 with limited views in the balcony. Double doors open onto a portico facing the river. Triple windows on the north and south sides provide abundant natural light. In addition to recessed lighting, a large overhead candelabrum offers optional candlelight along with hurricane lamps on each window sill and four tapers on the table in front. Superb acoustics render a public address system unnecessary. There is heat and air conditioning. The chapel is available year-round but is not handicap accessible.
