This is our 2nd time using De Sha’s American Tavern in Cincinnati for a Celebration of Life luncheon … first time after our beloved “Great Grama “ passed away in 2021 and again this past Saturday on October 5th for our precious “Poppa Truman” ! The food was outstanding and the individually plated lunches were delicious and enjoyed by all ! The kids meals were wonderful ! And the Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookies were the Best ! Our servers Lulu and Mary L were honestly so attentive to our needs, brought the food and drinks promptly and seemed to really care about us as we celebrated the life of our amazing
Poppa ! They were fabulous with all our guests !

Great Holiday Party Location

deSha's is a great place to host a holiday luncheon for a group of 22 women. We reserved the polo lounge which offers a working fireplace and was well decorated for the holiday season. Our catering advisor, Tina, was very helpful on addressing questions on room set-up to offering an option for a member who has a food allergy. All terms and dates are clearly outlined in the contract and follow-up is very prompt. This is the second year for holding our luncheon here and we varied the menu selection. One suggestion would be to offer at least one more vegetarian option on the banquet menu for lunch. The food was tasty and hot. Service was professional and easy to work with as the event hostess. Cost of the event fit into our group's budget especially in the economy. Thank you for another pleasant year.

We had a rehearsal dinner at deSha's and the entire process was flawless. Tina was awesome to work with and made several changes for me during the process. Having a private room gave us privacy while enjoying the other amenities the restaurant had to offer. The food was delicious and we received many compliments on the restaurant from our guests. The servers were extremely attentive and accommodating. I cant say one negative thing about the entire process. I have used this restaurant in the past for other parties and deSha's never disappoints! I certainly recommend.

Tina did a great job with the coordination and set up and the servers did a top notch job keeping guests with drinks, appetizers, etc. We had 21 people ranging from an infant to retired friends; accommodations and food options were provided for all. Tina created an affordable and custom dinner and drinks menu for our rehearsal dinner. I was pleased to see a custom alcohol menu for the alcohol that was included with the meal. My son’s rehearsal dinner was in the Nicholson room. It’s was great! I went in the morning and dropped off colorful bags for party favors and cards for each guests to fill out with marriage advice. And I took donuts to have for dessert. Well when I returned every place setting was set up already. So colorful and pretty with the champagne flutes already set. I set up a slideshow and it worked great. I couldn’t figure out the sound but that was my fault. The food was fabulous. The service was great. They served the donuts and gave us boxes to take them home. Everyone had a full glass of prosecco which was great. It was a cash bar. I think the staff were surprised at all of the alcohol being purchased LOL but they immediately brought in more servers to help and everything went very smooth. Tina was fabulous and I’m so glad that she didn’t get upset with my calls and questions. She was ok with my obsessive need of perfection lol. I highly recommend!

I planned my wedding in Cincinnati while I was living in California , it was kind of last minute decision to do a reception. I found Desha's online and I could not have been so lucky! Some of my friends already knew the place and told me to go for it because it would be great. And it was beyond great. Tina took care of everything and was so patient about my choices and bad memory, the rooms are so beautiful and they also offered linens and candles. Food was amazing and Staff super friendly. We hosted a bridal shower with 41 guests and the setting was great. Tina was efficient from start to finish and made certain that the seating plan was comfortable for all. There were no hidden surprises and the bill was exactly as expected. A buffet was set up and a table was provided for desserts and two tables were set up for gifts.
We ordered the sandwich luncheon buffet which included three different sandwiches, fruit, Saratoga chips and sauce and Mac n cheese. Everyone commented on how good the food was! However, part of the reason I’m giving this four stars instead of five was because the spring mix salad (which we added for $45) was hardly touched - frankly, it appeared to be leaves from a tree and did not appear appetizing. A positive was that all food not eaten was packaged up nicely for us to take home, though.
The servers were very nice but several people mentioned getting their initial drink but no one came back in the 2+ hours we were there to refill. However the lack of refills for some guests and the salad were our only negatives
In conclusion, I would recommend deSha’s for a luncheon event and look forward to booking in the future. Overall, a good experience with many positive comments from our guests.

I recently hosted a baby shower in the Rookwood room at DeSha's. We had a great time and the staff at DeSha's was very accommodating. They helped carry in decorations and dessert from my car, held doors, offered to help put up decorations, brought us scissors and tape when we realized we forgot it, and were generally very attentive. We were allowed to order off the menu individually which made it much easier to host. The rental cost was very reasonable as well, not to mention the food is great. Would definitely host an event there again!

Our entire party (46 people) were very delighted with the entire event held at de'Sha's. We had a very nice and private setting which allowed us to mix and mingle during our stay. The responsiveness of the staff was phenomenal! They literally had each glass full and cleared the tables as soon as we finished. The food was delicious from the spread of appetizers to the well proportioned buffet and the amazing dessert trays - well done! Something that everyone commented on is how perfect it was to serve the children their chicken tender meals first so that the adults could walk through the buffet. It was so well coordinated! Thank you so much to Tina Morris for her support and advice throughout the entire process! She is best in class when it comes to party planning! We couldn't be happier with Desha's. This was our family's 3rd time having a family event at this facility and it was just as great as the other 2 times. The event planner, Tina, was very easy to work with. I had a lot of questions and concerns which were handled very well. One concern was the timing of the food (we had a few that had to leave early). They definitely exceeded my expectations with this. We were allowed to come in 15 minutes before they opened and they had the food delivered to our table sooner than was stated. When we arrived, everything looked awesome. I believe everyone in my party loved the taste of their food (I know I did), the waiter that served us was attentive and efficient. I can't think of one thing that was deficient. Our previous party was my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. My dad enjoyed it so much, he is the one that suggested having my mom's 90th birthday party at Desha's.

I had a Celebration of Life lunch at DeSha’s after my aunt’s funeral for close family and friends. Considering the sad occasion it was perfect. Held in a small private room kept in cozy and intimate. The food was excellent and service outstanding. Would highly recommend!

The Rookwood Room was perfect for our cozy family gift exchange. Everyone at DaSha's was welcoming and the server for our party was so attentive, yet not in the way of our good time. We had a wonderful time and I highly recommend DaSha's for any get-together. The food was good too!

Our group of ten met in the Rookwood Room at Desha’s for lunch. The variety of menu choices, the warm and private room, and the excellent service were only exceeded by the extraordinary food. The staff were hospitable and efficient. The entire experience exceeded my expectations!
Perfect Baby Shower Venue!

The Nicholson Room was the perfect space for my daughter's baby shower. Beautiful room with a great view of a pond. From the organizer, Tina, to the servers, Kathleen & Jake, the service and the food was excellent. They went above & beyond to make sure I didn't have to do anything except enjoy our celebration! We will be back for future events!
