The Mother Lode Theatre, Butte's center for the performing arts, is a 1,200-seat nonprofit venue hosting live entertainment from plays to concerts to dance to stand-up comedy. In its basement is the 94-seat Orphan Girl Theatre, home of the Orphan Girl Children's Theatre, which stages community and youth theatre throughout the year.
