Perfect wedding venue on lake Champlain — An Eventective User from Colchester, VT

The perfect location and team working in the background made our wedding fun and stress-free for both my husband and me AND our guests! The event coordinators at ECHO could not have been more receptive to our needs during the planning process. From their quick responses to our numerous and sometimes complicated questions to coordinating with our different vendors, we felt the team was always there to make sure our wedding was exactly the way we wanted! For anyone looking to get married on lake Champlain I would highly recommend ECHO! It offers the option of having the ceremony and reception at the same place, with several hotels within walking distance for guests, but ECHO also offers parking for those who have to drive. The spaces were perfect for our wedding (about 85 guests). The ceremony was up on the back deck (and although the weather cooperated, ECHO had not one but TWO contingency plans!) and the reception was in the event room downstairs. There was plenty of space for the buffet, and a bar, and our 8-top round tables. The best things about the space (except for being beautiful w/ the lake backdrop and not needing much decoration) were the outdoor patio and a dancing floor that was separated from the dining space. Our guests could chat and hang out either inside or outside and not have to yell through the loud music - a downside to having a wedding in a hotel ballroom, in my opinion. ECHO provided chairs and cocktail tables (one less thing to rent) and dealt with the set-up and take-down. The price to rent the whole aquarium was incredibly reasonable considering the benefits the space has to offer, and the services + supplies offered. Many of our guests were from out of town and appreciated not only the close proximity to hotels + other things to do in town, but also a chance to learn about lake Champlain through the aquarium! Our wedding couldn't have been more perfect, in large part thanks to ECHO!
