The FAR Center for Contemporary Arts is not just one event space, but four: a theater, gallery, library, and garden are joined by an open atrium, bar, and kitchenette. Rent spaces together or separately to customize your event.
A space can hold an event, or a space can inspire an event. FAR brings people together in a modern, customizable venue to spark conversation and new ways of thinking—primarily through its contemporary arts programming, and also by renting the space for weddings and private events.
When you rent FAR for your special event, you’re supporting year-round arts programming for the Bloomington community.

Wonderful place to celebrate!

My husband and I were not able to share our wedding with our friends due to Covid restrictions so we rented FAR to host an anniversary celebration and take pictures. It was such an easy process! Emma and her team made it so seamless and easy. I highly recommend!!
Bridal Shower

Beautiful space to hold a bridal shower. We used the library, garden, kitchen, and atrium area. It was perfect for our needs. We worked with Emma and she was quick to respond to questions and was easy to work with. She was also able to help us find a bartender for the event, and the bartender was wonderful. Would recommend.
