Silver Hearth Lodge is a private and gated wedding facility that encompasses the very top of Bent Mountain on 40 acres. We are the only private mountain top wedding venue in the entire south east. The elevation is 3000' above sea level with views of the Roanoke Valley and the Blue Ridge Mountains that go on and on and on for as far as the eye can see. While spring and fall weddings are our most popular, summer weddings on the mountain top can boast of perfect temperatures (average 76 degrees in August).
Our refined rustic wedding venue can accommodate up to 300 for a wedding ceremony/reception event and in the rare event of inclement weather, our indoor rain plan is flawless!
Since we are a “day lodge,” overnight accommodations for you/your guests are provided by Holiday Inn Tanglewood at deeply discounted rates…they will even help with your transportation needs to and from the venue on their shuttle bus!
Because we believe that you should have whatever type of catering you want and not be forced to use “the venues’ choice,” we have an extensive list of caterers (ranging from $10 – $150 per person) who are included in our catalog of professional wedding vendors – all of whom have agreed to offer their services at VERY reasonable rates!
Your special day will be easy, affordable & incredible because we have done much of the decorating and nearly all of the work for you with set up/take down/clean up. …and yes, alcohol is allowed (BYOB) at our facility with no restrictions

This venue is beautiful and the manager, Bob, is fantastic!! He is so helpful and truly thinks of everything to help with the wedding. We wanted to have our dogs at our wedding and I don’t think we could have found a more accommodating venue for our pups! They were allowed inside and outside and were allowed to be off leash and Bob has dog treats that we could give to them too. Truly a magical venue that I would recommend to anyone!

It is a beautiful venue and wonderful owners as well. Bob and his wife are accommodating and present throughout the day. As a wedding photographer working at this venue, Bob made sure we had everything we needed.

SHL and team were so incredible to work with!! The venue is absolutely breathtaking and unique in so many ways. From the beautiful mountain overlook, to the stunning Iron Dome ceremony area, this venue truly could not be more gorgeous. Another incredible perk of SHL is the Vista View Hall is how it is already tastefully decorated! We were able to save some money from our "decor" budget because there was little besides centerpieces we felt we needed to make the space beautiful - it already is! In addition to the STUNNING venue - Bob and Ashley are incredible to work with! Bob has truly thought through every single detail that a couple could need when it comes to planning. His extensive planning guide is so helpful to ensure that everything is thought out. I have bragged about SHL since I laid my eyes on it for the first time, and will continue to do so! I would HIGHLY recommend SHL to anyone looking for their dream wedding venue!

We couldn’t have been happier with our mountain-top wedding! We loved every moment, our families loved every moment, and the kids had a blast! We highly recommend the Indian fire circle (and s’mores bar), arched flowers on the gazebo, and to stay overnight in the bridal suite. Nothing like waking up to the beauty of this venue. Pictures do not do Silver Hearth Lodge justice. Must see in person!! Bob and his wife are wonderful! Handicapped friendly was a major plus for us.
