Woods End is a serene 8 acre waterfront estate nestled among flower covered gardens, old growth forest, with a 170 foot dock providing complete privacy for up to 50 guests. A short walk leads to Brady's Beach, a pristine west facing sand beach for swimming, sunning and campfires (yes we can have campfires year round). On the property enjoy the sun, go for a swim, turn up the music, fish, or take a standup paddleboard, canoe, or kayak from your private dock out on the inlet or beach. Eclectic covered outdoor fireplaces, and comfortable outdoor barbecue areas make it easy for large and small groups to socialize and enjoy the waterfront views. Guests enjoy walking the nearby boardwalk to local dining and shopping. Bamfield abounds with fun activities on and off the property including fishing, hiking, ATVing, touring art galleries and numerous local festivals such as Bamfield Music By the Sea and the Oysters, Ale and Authors Festival. We are a self serve, venue-only waterfront wedding facility including: - 6 cottages and an adjoining studio that sleep up to 50 guests - cottages all have full kitchens, living areas and 1 or 2 bedrooms, sleeping up to 10 guests - private gardens - private dock - private outdoor dining areas - covered and uncovered firepits and BBQ areas The venue is well suited for outdoor music, outdoor dancing and entertainment under the sky, stars or tents. Catering, set up, clean up and additional services are not offered. Bringing supplies, entertainment, etc. is quite easy - the Lady Rose ferries everything up on their ferry from Port Alberni and we pick it up approximately 1 km from the venue, and return everything once the event is completed. There is a new highway going into Bamfield for completion in 2023. For guests that are uncomfortable driving on gravel roads (for weddings prior to 2023) - we suggest to also take the Lady Rose passenger service and we will pick everyone up at the marina upon arrival to bring them to their cottage. We are sold out several years in advance for much of July and all of August. The best months for weddings at our facility are May, June, first 3 weeks of July, last 2 weeks of September and October.
