IslandWood is an environmental education nonprofit serving the Puget Sound region. IslandWood was founded to increase access and lower financial barriers to nature-based learning for our region's children.
We offer programs for children on our Bainbridge Island campus and at locations throughout the Seattle region; a graduate program in partnership with the University of Washington; professional development learning for classroom teachers; summer camps; and low-cost and free programs for the community.
Events such as weddings, retreats, and meetings held on our campus help to financially support our ability to serve as many children as possible in the region with programs that inspire them to care for our communities and the planet!
