William Jeffrey’s is the natural evolution of what a quintessential tavern once was. More than just a restaurant or bar, a tavern was the center-of-town gathering place for neighbors to meet and talk politics, celebrate a milestone, or even drown one’s sorrows. We are that neighborhood gathering place today, where all feel welcome, no matter their reason for visiting.
Our goal is to always be familiar, with no pretense. We believe food and drink doesn’t have to be served on a white tablecloth to be of high-quality and truly enjoyed. We believe in things like curing meats in-house, pickling liquor with fresh ingredients to elevate a cocktail, and genuinely kind service. We also offer a 16-tap bar, fireplaces, raw oyster bar, and HDTVs.
We offer 2 different private or semi-private options. First, our traditional private dining space is partitioned from the main dining room by two dueling peninsula style fireplaces that add a wonderfully warm feel to the room. The mantles also serve as excellent display spaces should your event call for anything like that (portraits, photo collages etc...). The space comfortably accommodates 45-50 guests seated or upwards of 60-70 when being used in a reception capacity. Additional "over-flow" space is also available should the group grow beyond that. Our PDR is equipped with a private & full service bar, separate buffet line, 4 HD screens & customize-able music options and amplified speaking (if arranged for in advance).
These added features also make it the perfect space to host your morning or afternoon meetings. the space can be booked for the entire day as well. For example, you could start your morning meetings with our Coffee & Fresh Juice Bar, pastries and lite fare, move into a sandwich or "Hot Bar" lunch and finish up with the perfect happy hour. The four HD screens are compatible with a variety of different media types and amplified speaking can be arranged. Both A/V amenities are currently offered at no extra charge. All day meetings don't have to be a drag, all that's needed is great food, solid libations and warm service.
Our second option is a semi-private area that backs up to two peninsula style fireplaces. The hearth itself serves as the perfect place setting for medium to heavy hors d'oeuvres. This particular space gives access to a long section of our main bar where our expertly trained bartenders are able to craft classic cocktails for yourself and your guests.
Regarding parking, William Jeffrey's Tavern validates parking for up to 3 hours in our garage (beneath the Siena Park building, in which we're located). There is also street parking, some metered, some free). We're happy to provide specific instructions and visual aids to your guests via email to provide exact details and reference points.
We do not charge a "room fee" for the space but instead have food and beverage minimums in place that must be met in order to have the space be made available, staffed etc...Minimums vary depending on the time of year, day of the week and duration of the event.
