About Heart of the City Music Factory

The Heart of the City Music Factory is a beautiful, Victorian style Event Center and Concert Venue located on the 2nd floor of the historic World War I era "Old Milk Factory" located on the Rum River in Anoka. This Music Factory doubles as a concert venue and as a rentable venue for luncheons, meetings, reunions, small weddings and receptions and more. In the main room, we have a balcony and stage. There is also a lovely side room with tin ceilings and curtained archways that open up into the main room. Additionally, there is the back studio which typically serves as place where drinks are served or as a quieter seating lounge. We have multiple mounted Video cameras with video screens in the balcony, side room and studio and offer an onsite Videography package. We also have a large 12’ by 20’ retractable screen above the stage with a projector that can project either video feed from the balcony or any kind of video or Powerpoint from a computer. We have a high-end stereo sound system with a large amount of backline equipment. The Music Factory also includes a large, beautiful Bridal Room/Green Room that is included with the price of the rent. This room has windows looking out to the Rum River, a couch and chairs, a small refrigerator and a large walnut dining table and chairs. All food and drink must be catered in. Intimate, Historical Venue - An Eventective User from minneapolis, MN

What a place to have an event! We held our Wedding Reception here and it was a fantastic experience! Everything turned out magically and happened around us. We were able to customize everything. The historic aspect of the building added to the romance of the evening. There was ample parking, and flexible timing for reserving the space. The communication of the staff was responsive and attentive and beyond sincere. I would highly recommend this venue for an intimate, caring, and flexible evening that you'll cherish forever!

Great Place to have an Event! - An Eventective User from Brooklyn Park, MN

I hosted my husband's 50th Birthday here. We had around 50 guests. Dan and Sandy were amazing and went above and beyond. They were there for the entire event and suggested fun things, made sure everything ran smoothly and even joined in on the fun by dancing in the balcony! I would definitely recommend Heart of the City Music Factory for a party or work event. The space is very flexible and the ambiance is pretty cool! Thanks Dan and Sandy for everything!

The Heart of the City Music Factory was a wonderful venue for my wedding! The setting was intimate, classy, clean, and created the perfect environment for my 105 guests. It was smooth for catering to set up in the side room, and great views from all sides with the large-screen TVs located throughout the venue. I highly recommend Heart of the City Music Factory!

50 th birthday party for wife - An Eventective User

I had a birthday party for my wife at Heart of the City MF in Anoka. My wife and guests were all impressed with this unique venue. 1 larger room and a smaller room available plus a balcony. Could easily accommodate large group.Tables chairs through venue. Food and beverages were catered in through Cork of Anoka--very nice job by Bob. Venue has a large screen available which I used for a slide show. Excellent sound system as well with in house sound man--Mike--well done! I did use venue keyboard and drumset for a muscal birthday tribute. My bass player friend and drummer friend were very impressed with the sound and set up. Dan and staff were very helpful and available for planning and last minute details with electronics. I would highly recommend this venue for a party or event and recommend checking out musical events that are regularly scheduled at Heart of the City Music Factory. This is a very cool venue for events in the NW metro area! Check it out!
