Located in the heart of the historic Lakeview Industrial District, the Theodore at the Swann Chemical Laboratory is Birmingham’s newest historic event venue. Built in 1929, this Moderne-style building spans over 20,000 square feet and features exposed brick walls, barrel truss ceilings, and steel windows.
Featuring three warehouse bays and a covered porch and courtyard converted from an old railroad platform, The Theodore evokes the timeless grandeur of the Magic City’s roots as an epicenter for the industrial south. The meticulously-restored space is a versatile venue that can accommodate intimate gatherings as well as large gala events.
