About three months ago, I was in charge of planning a one-day meeting during our company's annual trip to a sales convention in Miami. While the actual convention took place at a separate space, our employees stayed at the Miami Mandarin. So, this venue was perfect for the meeting because it was convenient for everyone to attend. Their were seven employees attending the meeting, and we needed enough space to give short presentations and enjoy lunch. The person who helped me make the reservation was extremely helpful. I contacted her on the phone, and she recommended Singapore Room A because of the fairly small size of the meeting's attendees. Honestly, the price for reserving the meeting space was somewhat expensive, but my boss decided that the convenience factor outweighed the cost. The hotel representative also helped with the food planning, and this was all taken care of over the phone. Once we arrived, the meeting room was larger than we expected, probably about 250 square feet. The chairs were luxurious and comfortable, with high backs and firm cushions. The table and chairs were already arranged in a U-Shape. The food was served by a very responsive staff. We had a four-course lunch, with a soup, salad, main dish and dessert. The food was amazing, albeit quite expensive. Be aware that the cost of food is not included in the price for actually renting the meeting space. Overall, the staff was truly outstanding and the meeting room was perfect. I highly recommend the Mandarin Miami.

"In the Heart of Miami: The Mandarin Oriental", An Eventective User from Miami, FL
I would like to recommend the Mandarin Oriental Hotel as one of the best spots in Miami for meetings or conferences. The Mandarin Oriental is conveniently located in the heart of Miami, just 5 minutes from Downtown Miami and 20 minutes from Miami International Airport. It has available more of than a dozen rooms that can be used as ballrooms and/or meeting rooms in addition to outdoor space. Many of the meeting rooms have windows with great views to the Biscayne Bay. For corporate meetings, their rooms are equipped the latest audio and visual technology and their staff are always helpful and willing to fulfill any requests. The food at the Mandarin Oriental is one of the best you'll come across. Their catering department offers an extensive menu with many choices and variations. They will also accommodate any personalized request their clients may have. There are two restaurants located on premise. Cafe Sambal a casual and contemporary restaurant that offers what they call contemporary Asian cuisine, and Azul a more elegant restaurant that offers European, American and Asian choices. Both restaurants are great places, and can accommodate a corporate lunch or dinner depending on the needs of the attendees and the sizes of the groups. The Mandarin Oriental staff is very professional and friendly, and always tries to assist their clients the best they can. They always go the extra mile and show the effort to make your event the best yet. The cost to book at the Mandarin Oriental may be a little bit pricey but it all depends on the size of the meeting or event, but they are always able to accommodate any budget.
