Woodburn is a large 4-story Greek Revival plantation house built c.1830 and is situated on about 11 acres located off US76, about 9 miles north of I-85. The site has a beautiful Victorian carriage house for wedding ceremonies, a large covered pavilion for parties and receptions, in-ground dance floor, and large porches on house for use by wedding parties. The site is idea for events of all sizes and can accommodate up to 400 guests. The first floor of the house museum is typically opened during events for guests to tour through. The grounds are available for rental for events from April - October but the fall schedule is dependent on the Clemson University home football schedule due to the high volume of game-day traffic on US76. Woodburn is owned and operated by the Pendleton Historic Foundation as a house musueum. The house was built by C.C. Pickney and later owned by members of the Adger family of Charleston.
