My husband and I held both our wedding and the reception at the Tanglewood Golf Course in South Lyon, Michigan. The banquet center (called 'The Lion') is the perfect size for wedding parties as few as 50 and as large as 200. The planner that assisted us was wonderful and I never once had to follow up with anyone to make sure that things were done properly. The food was amazing and the waitstaff was kind and always smiling. The prices were extremely reasonable and I never felt like I did not get my moneys worth. They did not charge me extra to reserve the hall and made sure that I had plenty of space for my wedding party to do photographs and get ready for the ceremony and reception. The part of my wedding that was most memorable was that we had planned to conduct an outdoor ceremony, however a particularly fierce storm kicked up about 30 minutes before the wedding was scheduled to start. The staff told me to just go into my dressing area and not to worry about a thing, which I managed to do (with the help of some wine, I admit). I was absolutely amazed at how wonderfully and quickly they moved the entire wedding indoors!! They brought out dozens of candles and moved all of the tables and flowers around so that I had an even better wedding setting than I could have created myself.
