The Barker Tavern on the South Shore in Massachusetts is a unique place to host a one-of-a-kind wedding reception. It overlooks Scituate Harbor with spectacular views and the grounds are impeccable. They feature beautiful walkways and a private garden. The scenery makes for gorgeous pictures with lots of options for backgrounds. We held our reception in The Williams Room with charming New England decor, fireplace and piano. The tablecloths and linens are all first rate and you can choose different colors to match your wedding colors. The Williams Room is ideal for weddings with 200 guests or less because there is plenty of room to move around and dance. There is also a very nice bride's room upstairs to change in or talk. The staff at The Barker Tavern is extremely experienced. There is a wedding consultant assigned to you to help you plan, who knows all the details about your special day. They have planned many weddings so they are able to make good suggestions and give you ideas about how you might want to do things on your day. The day of the wedding, there is someone assigned to simply overseeing the wait staff and all of little details. The menu itself is decadent with delicious seafood choices, along with traditional ones. They also have amazing desserts. The food was high quality, served elegantly with garnish. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and commented on how lovely the setting ones. Being part of a wedding there is something your guests will enjoy immensely and will not soon forget!
