SJMA is a full-service venue, with an in-house caterer and beverage service. The Full Facility Buy-out Package includes five consecutive hours with an option to extend, free admission for all of your guests to all open galleries and museum public spaces, docents, coat check, A/V equipment, security staff, gallery staff, as well as event staff who will help you both in planning your event as well as managing your event the day of to ensure a flawless experience. Our Preferred Caterers and Vendors list includes our in-house caterer and administrator of our Café, Catered Too. They hold our liquor license so if you plan on having a bar, please contact them. They are also a full production house, so you can also coordinate other details with them like chair and linen rentals. The list also includes other caterers to suit every price range and need!

Certainly there’s no better environment for motivating creativity than our elegant multipurpose room, the Charlotte Wendel Center! When you host your corporate meeting, luncheon, conference, seminar, or fun gathering at SJMA, your guests also have access to award-winning contemporary art exhibitions and sophisticated museum public spaces in the heart of downtown San Jose.
The Wendel Center can accommodate events for 10 to 200 during the day (8am - 5pm, Tuesdays through Sundays). Rentals include furniture, docents, coat check, newly upgraded A/V equipment, security staff, gallery staff, as well as event staff who will help you both in planning as well as managing your event the day of.
