My friend Kim's wedding reception was held at the Carriage Inn on May 7, 2010. The Inn is a known place for holding good receptions and they did not disappoint. The tables were arranged around a dance floor area with adequate room to move between the two. The staff servicing the reception guests were polite and on their toes, making sure that the food was kept hot or cold, depending on the dish, and refilled. They also answered any questions guests had and were helpful to the non-local guests in giving directions around the facilities. There was a designated area a short distance away outside for those who smoked, so they did not have a long way to walk to take their smoke breaks. The reception hall is also located very close to the bathrooms, another convenience. The DJ assigned to the wedding played a good, eclectic variety of music and took requests throughout the evening. All in all, it was a fun event. The Inn rents the space out to any interested party--be it weddings, birthdays, or conferences. I would recommend it to others.
