After 15 years in business, The Waterhouse Banquet and Catering Facility has relocated AND expanded to three banquet rooms in The MAXAM Building! "The Warehouse Room" maintains the look/feel that The Waterhouse is known for accommodating up to 180, "The Ballroom" is an elegant event space that can accommodate up to 280, and the "Broadway Lounge" is a non traditional space that can accommodate 120! Originally opened in 2004, The Waterhouse Banquet and Catering Facility was located at the corner of State and Waterhouse Streets in Downtown Peoria in the Le Vieux Carre complex for 10 years. On December 31, 2013, The Waterhouse officially relocated and expanded to The MAXAM Building at the corner of Liberty and Washington Streets in Downtown Peoria.

The Old Rugged Barn is central Illinois’ newest barn event venue just outside Towanda IL. We are ideally located within minutes of Bloomington-Normal, historic Rt 66 and the Interstate. We can do just about any occasion you wish to celebrate. The Barn has its prominent place on our small 3.5 farmstead which provides ample parking and space for outdoor activities. The original barn was built about 1920 and we put on an addition 2016. The main level now has 2400 sq ft and the loft has 1000 with a center opening. Capacity is listed as 350, but that varies with the arrangement of furnishings and type of event for which the space is used. The barn is heated so rentals are available year around. We have 2 new ADA oversized bathrooms inside the barn. We look forward to helping you with your special day! We can suggest caterers, DJs, decorators, photographers, florists, and more. You are welcome to do your own thing with prior approval of barn owner. We have plenty of cool and quirky things to include in your photos. There are 5 professionally painted murals on the out buildings done by Scott Hagan the Barn Artist from eastern OH. In addition there are 17 barn quilts each of which has special significance. And who builds a caboose around the propane tank?! Planning ahead is always a good idea. If you have a specific date in mind, contact us right away.
