Located in scenic Fluvanna County, Virginia, the family-owned and -operated Layz S Ranch is a classic, rustic wedding venue. With over 300 acres of working farmland as their backdrop, couples can host their wedding ceremony, reception, or elopement, as well as their bridal shower, engagement party, or rehearsal dinner at the facility. The potential settings are endless with both indoor and outdoor event spaces, featuring a wooden wedding arbor, an expansive patio, and indoor and outdoor fireplaces. Couples can host a gorgeous outside ceremony on the concrete patio, or opt for a covered pavilion ceremony. The pavilion is open on three sides to bring the beautiful scenery indoors, but the sides and barn-style doors can be closed in the event of inclement weather. Inside the pavilion, a large hand-crafted fireplace takes the spotlight. The outdoor patio is attached to the pavilion, creating an extra space that can be used for a ceremony, reception area, or dance floor. A second pavilion was completed in 2018 to provide reception space that is separate from the ceremony site, but within close proximity. This pavilion is completely enclosed and offers a gas fireplace as well as lanterns and chandeliers for lighting.
