Pleasant Surprise - An Eventective User from Leominster, MA

I'm happy to submit a review for the Holiday Inn Resort located across the street from Universal Studios in Orlando. Hearing our company was hosting a meeting in Orlando we were expecting the "Disney" treatment, and were a little disappointed to hear it was, in fact, at a Holiday Inn. But I guess it's been a while since I've experienced the Holiday Inn product, because this was a fantastic, updated hotel that didn't lack the resort feel we were hoping for. The function facilities were completely satisfactory and the room setup was quite comfortable. The meeting space left ample room for our group of 100 or so attendees to sit comfortably classroom style without rubbing elbows. Our conference contact was there to check in each morning to make sure the details of the day were accurate, but they were always happy to make changes as our agenda was not set in stone and needed to be adjusted throughout the day. Catering could be counted on to be setup on-time and refreshed when appropriate. The onsite a/v technicians were available to assist with last-minute difficulties with our presentation equipment (LCD Projector was on the fritz). Also worth mentioning is the availability of natural light at the property , definitely helps keep attendees refreshed and focused during day-long seminars to see a little bit of sunshine during breaks! Perhaps the only drawback, if you could call it that, was the hotel's proximity to the attractions of Universal Studios were distracting , tough to be in a conference room working on a power point presentation when you know City Walk is just across the street! Overall, I was quite pleasantly surprised by this property and would have no hesitation in recommending it.
