Jenn Laskey, a USC alumni with a degree in communication and theater, and music industry veteran with A&R, scouting, and management background, has staked her claim in the LA event and nightlife scene beginning in December of 2002. Currently RedLight plans/produces/promotes a variety of special events for both private event planning clients and public PR driven events/venues and also hosts a weekly party, “ArtEffect” Thursday nights at Medusa Lounge, Laskey Created “ArtEffect” fueled by a desire to fuse tastemakers and industry professionals from the Hollywood nightlife scene with the creative cultures and art worlds of Silver Lake, in a
venue of architectural brilliance rich with history. The event showcases both up and coming DJs as well as established names, playing outside-the-box artistic music; soulful sounds crossing all genres. Additionally inspiring creativity, audio artistry is coupled with featured visual art installations at select events. She also achieved much notoriety for her similar artistic vision through the invention of the BodyRock Friday night event (2005-2006) at club Ivar, which is a fusion of the Hollywood club scene, and the artistic worlds of music, fashion, dance and live art/gallery exhibitions. She also currently holds the position of Director of Special Events at downtown LA restaurant & lounge hotspot, Blue Velvet (www.bluevelvetrestaurant.com) Laskey is rightfully deemed “L.A.’s key to nightlife.” RedLight (www.redlightpromotions.com) is a full service event planning and production company with a hip and unique creative, artistic flair, and also handles creative marketing and event PR (via Laskey’s Visionaire PR Group), specializing in nightlife and artist marketing and promotions and outside of the box creative and influential event marketing (film premieres/screenings, record releases, store/ salon launches, PR events, fashion designers, liquor branding, corporate brands et al). Laskey/ RedLight also does event planning and coordination for personal and corporate/ entertainment events/parties small and large, include creative wedding planning.
