The Manor House is one of Colorado's most historic residencies. John Shaffer purchased 3,500 acres now known as Ken Caryl Ranch (named after his two sons) on October 19, 1914. He immediately commissioned the architect Edbrooke to build him a mansion that was completed at the cost of $100,000 at the highest spot of the four mile wide valley with 360 degree views. The 8,000 square foot Manor House was originally surrounded by his Ken Caryl Cattle Ranch, which covered 28,000 acres. John Shaffer was the editor and publisher of the Chicago Tribune as well as the owner of The Chicago Post and The Rocky Mountain News. Mr. Shaffer was also a patron of the arts and spearheaded the funds necessary to build Chicago's opera houses. The Manor House entertained frequent guests such as President Theodore Roosevelt and President William Howard Taft, as well as industrial chieftains from around the world.

The Manor House is the perfect venue for your wedding, private party, or corporate function.
Whether you are looking to have a large event or a more intimate party, we have the right amount of space for your function. We offer packages that allow rentals of the entire mansion and 6.5 acre outdoor property (also including the event tent), rentals of one of five of our private rooms, or rentals of our event tent.
The Limerick Room is a private event space housed inside the Irish Rover Pub. We are centrally located in the heart of Denver's Baker District on South Broadway. It is the perfect setting for any special occasion you may have. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are here to ensure your event goes off without a hitch! We are available for everything from birthday parties, baby showers, rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, and much more. We have an occupancy of over 100 people with an extensive in house catering menu that boasts traditional Irish fare as well as classic Colorado favorites. WE DO NOT CHARGE A ROOM RENTAL FEE, instead we require that you spend a minimum amount. This allows us to effectively provide service while not passing along any additional charges.
