An inspiring, perfect environment to pursue your dreams - An Eventective User from San Francisco, CA

If you're searching for a hidden gem to inspire creativity and rejuvenate your spirit, look no further than this extraordinary rental property on Bobs Lake. Nestled in a serene forest setting, this place is nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in tranquility. The lake, with its pristine waters and gentle lapping waves, serves as a picturesque backdrop that instantly puts you at ease. The property itself is a marvel—tucked away in nature, offering both seclusion and comfort. The hot tub was a highlight, perfect for starlit soaks after a day of brainstorming and writing. I had the pleasure of hosting a retreat for a group of 12 creatives in the fall, and the experience was nothing short of transformative. The house is spacious enough to allow everyone their own space while also fostering a sense of togetherness. Each room is thoughtfully designed, providing cozy nooks for solitude and reflection, as well as ample common areas for collaboration and conversation. The kitchen was a chef's dream, fully equipped for preparing the most delightful homemade meals. We came together each day to share delicious food, inspiring discussions, and to support one another in our creative endeavors. The environment was perfectly suited for both intense focus and meaningful connections. This property is a true sanctuary, offering a unique blend of comfort, natural beauty, and inspiring solitude. Whether you’re looking to dive into your creative projects, unwind in nature, or simply enjoy quality time with friends, this place is an unparalleled retreat. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you for providing such a stunning and serene escape. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and deeply grateful.

Perfect Place for a Family Reunion - An Eventective User

When searching for a spot to hold a family reunion of twenty-nine people, it was very hard to find a place that had good swimming, fishing, boat rentals, a beach, and activities for the kids as well as the adults. A miracle happened and I found Bobs Lake Cottages and Escapes. We rented four cottages so everyone had lots of room but close enough to pop over to spend time together. This place was perfect! Clean, well-stocked, lots of canoes, etc. We’re already planning on going back.

A Family Reunion to Remember at Bob's Lake Cottages - An Eventective User from Richmond Hill, Ontario

A Family Reunion to Remember at Bob's Lake Cottages Our family reunion at Bob's Lake Cottages was nothing short of extraordinary. With 47 relatives spanning ages 10 to 94, hailing from 10 different countries, the event was a testament to meticulous planning and the universal appeal of the Canadian summer cottage experience. Marla and Larry, our gracious hosts, went above and beyond to ensure our city-dwelling family felt right at home amidst the rustic charm. Their patience and attentiveness to our myriad of questions and requests played a pivotal role in crafting an unforgettable experience for each one of us. The cottages struck a perfect balance between modern comfort and natural beauty. The Eagle Nest cottage, in particular, was a haven for our elders, offering easy accessibility without the challenge of stairs. The Great House, where my immediate family and I stayed, became the central hub for our gatherings—meals, games, and laughter flowed freely within its welcoming walls. Culinary feats for a group of over 40 could have been daunting, but the well-equipped kitchens at Bob's Lake made it a delightful adventure. Our family seamlessly divided tasks—chopping, cooking, cleaning, and of course, the men took charge of the BBQs. The abundance of tools, cookware, cutlery, and appliances meant everyone could contribute without stepping on each other's toes. The clear weather was a blessing, allowing us to indulge in the full spectrum of lake activities. Kayaks, boats, and stand-up paddleboards were in constant use, providing endless fun for both kids and adults. On land, the basketball, volleyball, and pickleball courts were a hit among the teens, fostering a spirit of friendly competition and camaraderie. A highlight of our stay was the helicopter ride, arranged with the help of Marla and Larry, which gave us a breathtaking aerial view of Bob’s Lake's stunning scenery. Our reunion was filled with moments that will be etched in our memories forever—unique childhood creations, grand celebrations, group photos, early morning fishing, bonfire parties, and late-night snacks. In summary, it was a family reunion of a lifetime, leaving us all with the fondest memories of each other. "The best thing in life... Is the one we love... Where we've been... Memories created along the way with us!" Thank you, Marla and Larry, for helping us make this such a memorable experience.

Family reunion July 2024 - An Eventective User from Montreal , Quebec

We had the opportunity to stay at Bobs Lake Cottages & Escapes for our family reunion of over 40 members from multiple countries. We rented all cottages by the water for 7 days. The cottages were clean and the rooms were spacious enough and comfortable to host multiple families. The kitchens are fully equipped even with an air fryers and a spice rack. Don’t forget to bring your bathroom towels and beach towels. Paddle boards, kayak and canoe were provided. We brought our own boat and forgot our inflatable tube and they even helped find one for us. The employee gave us a great service at the cottages. We had a special request and Marla did a wonderful job at accommodating our request. We fully recommend this place for small and large groups of families. The cottages all have a beautiful waterfront view with each having their own charm. You can also sense the attention to details in each cottage. Overall we have created memorable memories and we thank the whole team for making this possible for us all. Thank you!

Amazing place for an event! - An Eventective User from Toronro, Ontario

We had our wedding there September 2017 and loved it! A lot of our families and friends are from out of Canada so the set up with multiple residences/ cottages close together made it a perfect spot for the wedding and then staying for the week as well with family! Marla was very helpful and hospitable. Showed us around, connected us with a local caterer and photographer which was very helpful. We rented the boat for the wedding and everyone still remembered the boat rides! It’s a great place for a wedding, special anniversary or for a family reunion! The scenery is incredible! It was easy to Book and Marla was very responsive to all our questions.

Management Response
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We have added a handful of new activities since your wonderful wedding- an outdoor stage and tiki bar that wedding parties love using after the ceremony. We have an area to play basketball, pickleball, volleyball, badminton and lastly take our bicycles for a spin. We also have complimentary canoes, kayaks, SUP, and paddleboats that the guests who stay can participate in. This is all in addition to our boat cruise. We hope you can make it back soon to enjoy another celebration!
