A Conference Center with a Wonderful Location - An Eventective User from Jackson, TN

My daughter's dance studio was recently part of a dance convention at the Emerald Coast Convention Center in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The convention was held over the summer, and the event lasted about a week. The facility rental and fees for entering the convention were reasonably priced in comparison with other competitions and conventions we attended throughout the year. There were about ten other studios in attendance, so the conference center is able to accommodate a large group. The employees were extremely nice and helpful. The conference center is a little old, and parts of the facility need updating. However, it was perfect for our purposes. The stage was large and there was plenty of room for parents, friends and relatives as well. Unfortunately, the concessions offered at the Emerald Coast Convention Center were not great. On some days, the only food and drink offered were at the snack and drink machines. During the later part of the week, a concession area was opened, but the offerings were slim. The greatest thing about this conference center is the location. It is right on the beach, on the bay side of Fort Walton's main strip. There are plenty of restaurants, shopping centers and hotels near the venue. We also loved that the conference center offered live streaming. So, you could watch the convention's happenings on the computer. We had a great experience at the venue. We will definitely return next year, but we will have to see if more concessions can be included in the price.

Choctaw Lodge Retreat is located on the historic Choctawhatchee River, only 25 minutes from Panama City Beach and 35 minutes from Grayton Beach/Destin area. There are two guest houses on property, either ideal for a very special honeymoon. We offer a full service wedding planner, or you may rent the property only and bring in your own planner.
