I had a great experience at the Walden Country Club celebrating my mother in law's 70th birthday. The staff was very accommodating from the planning of the event, all the way until the conclusion of the event. The room was very clean and the view of the golf course made for a very pleasant experience. I love how the staff was very attentive to the needs of our party and found ways to support our vision for making this a great celebration. Engagement Party and Wedding Anniversary Celebration

We want to thank the Walden Country Club for organizing our event on June 7, 2025. We combined two events into one - our son's engagement and our 40th wedding anniversary. Before the event, we met with Ilene,, food and beverage director, many times to go over the event details. She gave us great suggestions. They have a wide selection of menu items. the hall was decorated according to our preference. On the day of the event, everything was perfect, and Ilene and the team were very welcoming, friendly and professional. All the guests enjoyed themselves and the food was delicious. After the event, security deposit was promptly refunded. We will always have our future events at the country club.

My daughter’s bridal shower was on May 18 at Walden Country Club, it was perfect. The room was perfectly decorated by the staff .
Ilene Murphy, Manager was the best she listened to what we wanted and then added her own special touches. The room looked great !
The food was delicious and most of our guest had two servings. Our guests enjoyed the atmosphere, golf course view and delicious food, that they stayed longer than we had planned.
I have gotten a lot of emails from our guests telling me how they had the best time and that everything was good!
I would highly recommend having an event at Walden Country Club.

Hundred Acre Wood Baby Shower

I hosted my daughter in laws Hundred Acre Wood themed baby shower brunch at Walden Country Club on 12/8/24. From the beginning and planning with Ilene Murphy everything went smoothly. She even gave me great recommendations for things which worked out well. On the day of the event, I was so delighted with the special creative touches. The sign for the shower had a Hundred Acre Wood map on it, the napkins were folded into tree shapes, the juice bottles for the mimosa bar had Pooh characters on them. To top it off the food was delicious thanks to Alice and team and the service was impeccable. It was a magical day! Thanks for Ilene, Alice, Grace and the entire staff.

My spouse and I celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary on Saturday, November 18th. Eventective suggested Walden Country Club in Crofton, MD. We selected Walden Country Club because of its ideal setting, convenient location, capacity for our 55 guests, and its event coordinator, Ilene. She collaborated with us from the beginning to end to craft an experience that our guests and we will never forget. Everyone commented on how amazing Walden Country Club was, and how elegant our celebration room looked. Ilene was kind and dedicated to making sure our event went off without a hitch. She displayed professionalism throughout the entire planning process. The experience was beyond our expectations. The bar catered to guests’ requests, the food and the appetizer table and buffet tables were consistently replenished with delicious food, and the staff provided excellent service. Our servers were very professional and courteous throughout the entire event. Empty plates and glasses were promptly removed from the tables. Ilene Murphy Event Manager at Walden Country Club was wonderful to work with! She accomodated my every wish and was very calm and professional! The venue is really pretty and open with lots of windows and expanded space into the bar. Ilene was clearly very experienced and knew how to set up the room to mazimize space. Food was excellent! We had carved prime rib, great appies- everyone raved about the shrimp! The wait staff and bar staff were also just really nice and very helpful. Ilene recommended a DG- Angie D Entertainment and they were excellent also. We would highly recommend Walden CC for your event!!

Walden Country Club is a wonderful place to have your wedding and reception! Ilene is so easy to work with, and helps you plan your big day! The place was decorated beautifully, and we got some amazing pictures. The food was absolutely delicious, as one guest put it, "the roast beef was better than the weather!" And it was a beautiful sunny day, 76 degrees in November! I have had 3 events here at Walden. Every time the food was delicious, the price was reasonable, and we all had a great time! I highly recommend Walden Country Club for your next event!

very short time preparing for the event, but Ilene made sure everything was on point, ready to go, also provided us with all the amazing recommendations including DJ, photographer and the hair salon!
Every single request has been accommodated and, most importantly, the day was magical. The set up looked gorgeous and the guests didn’t even want to leave! That’s the greatest compliment! We really appreciate for making our dream wedding come true! We definitely recommend this place and this team! Will definitely be using them in future for other events!

I hosted a baby shower for my daughter and son-in-law at Walden Country Club this past weekend. Their newly renovated event room is absolutely breathtaking. Working with Ilene and her crew was a delightful experience. The entire crew went above and beyond to ensure the event was special. From specially created “boat napkins” to “whale shaped pancakes”, these little special surprises were unexpected but those little touches stood out showed how much they love what they do and how they care about making their customers satisfied. I can’t wait to hold my next event at Walden Country Club.

We had a bridal shower at the newly renovated ballroom. Ilene was wonderful as the banquet and marketing manager and helped me choose the perfect brunch menus. The server Lauren was delightful and the guests commented on how pleasant she was. The bartender was helpful and efficient. The food was delicious and we received so many compliments. Coming through COVID, we were not sure how we could work this out. They were so helpful and everything fell into place. It was a wonderful day and my daughter was very happy. We had an amazing time for our wedding at the Walden Country Club. Couldn't have asked for anything better. The staff was amazing, the decorations were beautiful, the food was fantastic, etc. , etc. Just absolutely perfect! We had an intimate wedding - an outside ceremony on the deck and our reception inside. Ilene made sure I was well taken care of and had everything I needed. Alice ensured the food was plentiful and tasted great for our guests. Our guests are still talking about how nice everything was and how much fun they had. Our 20th anniversary and recommitment ceremony was held at the Walden Country Club. This beautiful, classic, and vintage décor was stunning . Ilene and her crew decorated with all the colors I requested. The crew were attentive, professional and friendly. My husband and I didn't have to do anything but show up.
The hall seated 60 guests and a band of 6. Our dinner were plated; we had 3 fun waiter/waitress. We also had a signature drink that we named "Amazing Love" . We had no complaints from our guests. The food was plenty and pleasing. I would recommend the Walden Country Club to any bride that don't want to worry about anything but just the dress.

Ilene, Melissa, Alice and the other team members helped create a memorable and enjoyable Sports Themed 50th birthday celebration for my husband. The celebration was held at Walden Country Club in Crofton, MD and the venue and grounds were beautiful. The table decorations were creative and included a striped referee food table and a watermelon carved into a football helmet for the fruit and cheese table. Ilene and her team were very accommodating. We had a great time!

Whatever kind of event you are having this is the place to have it! The staff and customer service far exceeded my expectations. Not only did I have a perfect event, my guests were raving about the food, the drinks and the decorations and atmosphere.
