The Astoria Banquet Hall in Chicago, IL is perfect for weddings. I have personal experience due to friends being married at the location. What makes it easier to plan a wedding at the Astoria is that it offers packages to choose from which helps take the guessing out of getting married and helps ease the stress. One package might include a time limited reception, bar, dinner, custom wedding cake, chair covers, dressing room suites, and wedding coordination while the other might include limited cake choices, centerpieces, and a course type of meal. It depends on the price that the couple can afford which ranges from $19.99 and higher. It was incredible the way a room can be transformed, even though it means spending more, but it is worth it. The lighting can match the mood, the cake can be custom pending on the theme of the wedding, and there is enough space for dancing without being too cramped. I personally loved that the cake was terrific! It helps when a great baker listens to the customers and understand their needs though. The downside is that it does have to be planned in advance. I would honestly suggest calling them as soon as a date is set to make sure everything coordinated because I can see why it is a much wanted venue for a wedding. What makes it special about Astoria is that hiring someone to deal with the parking, cleaning up afterwards, and serving makes the wedding process easier. It allowed my friends to enjoy their day without hearing about any problems going on. It was all taken care of behind the scenes which also made the higher cost worth it.

once you walk in you see pure beauty and elegance. The price is reasonable for what you are getting. Everything on the table to the chairs look new. They have a nice size dance floor and a waiter staff that is by far the best i have experienced at a wedding. If you need help finding a DJ or live music their staff has that information for you. Now lets get to my favorite part, the food. I had fish, I believe it was red snapper. I had it with some veggies and some wine. Perfection. I recommend this venue to anyone.

The Astoria banquet hall has a wonderful facility, attentive staff, and fairly reasonable prices. Our wedding had between 90 and 100 people in attendance and the final costs ended up being around $40 per person. Not too expensive considering the level of service we received. The planners there were very helpful and the wedding cake turned out beautifully. Neither my wife nor I are very good with coordinating colors, so I was very glad that they were able to help us in choosing the table settings and color combinations. The food was also delicious and everyone had a variety of choices including some vegetarian ones too. They gave us a whole 6 hours for the reception! We ended up needing only 4, but it was nice to enjoy the occasion without feeling rushed. The open bar was nothing special. Mostly well drinks and average beer and wine selection, but considering the price, I was happy with the service. The catering staff was very attentive and was flexible with timing everything during the whole party. All in all, the event went smoothly and my wife was happy, which is the most important thing to me.

I will always recommend the Astoria for anyone who is looking for a wedding on a tight budget without extracting value and service. The staff helped coordinate my entire reception, right down to us walking out and bubbles being blown. Everything was lovely, our cake was delicious, and our guests were treated with courtesy and respect by the Astoria staff. When it came time to do tastings, make decisions, or payments, the Astoria staff was always there to remind us with a courtesy call. I know how stressful planning a wedding can be, but if you choose Astoria they will make it stress free! The colors of the napkins and table settings were so complimentary to the whole event. Kim, one of the coordinators made certain that I loved everything. We were short by three table settings and she went out and searched all night to find something that matched. A lot of our guests said that this was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to. My grandparents were the last to leave and Astoria staff even helped them out to their car. If I ever had any questions, or I wanted to change something last minute, Kim made sure everything was suitable to my every desire. After all, this is the most important day of a girls life when we deserve to be princess for a day. I will always recommend the Astoria Banquet Hall to anyone in the greater Chicago area for their wedding or parties.

Don't let the shopping mall exterior fool you! Astoria is so romantic, a great value and the BEST! We had both our wedding and reception at Astoria. First our wedding was ultra romantic, chandeliers, mood lighting, chiffon and an arbor! The speaker system let all our guests hear us nice and clear. Then while we were taking photos on their winding stair case, yes winding stair case, the room was being set up for our reception. The food was phenomonal which you very rarely hear at a wedding! The cake was red velvet with fresh live orchids streaming down it! Everything was perfect on our special day. Thank you Astoria Banquets. Since my wedding 3 of my friends have booked their weddings at Astoria also, so that alone says a lot!

The Astoria Banquet Hall is a perfect place to have a wedding in Chicago, IL because it has that look of a historical mansion with gorgeous chandeliers, satin covered walls, gold embossed trim. There is also a light show in the reception room and a DJ to get you up and on the dance floor having fun. The exquisite banquet room is the perfect room to have the reception in. The Grand Ballroom is a great selection for the wedding to take place. The wedding planner will help you get every detail right for the perfect wedding day. The green and white setup was very gorgeous setup for a wedding with rose petals down both sides of the runway. The trellis was even decorated with flowers. This is a day you and your guest will be talking about for a long time. The food was scrumptious and you had many choices to choose from to please everyone. This was all done in buffet style and there was a cheese tray with your name on it. There were also ice sculptures to choose from, but the love swans with the loveliest. This is your special day so make it as magical and memorable as possible. People will be talking about it for years to come. The reviews were all praising what a wonderful job that the planners did to make this moment a woman's dream come true.
