Beautiful Wedding Location — An Eventective User from Los Angeles
I had my wedding at Greystone Mansion (just the ceremony, not the reception). It was the most beautiful location for the ceremony. We had our ceremony in the formal garden area of the park which is lined with tea roses and has a gorgeous fountain at the far end. That's the perfect spot to say your vows! They provided changing rooms for the bridal party which was a huge plus because it was over 90 degrees the day of my wedding and made it much better to be able to change into my wedding dress at the location. Also, the grounds are beautiful for all kinds of photos and my wedding album is gorgeous because of it. The biggest plus to Greystone is the price. It's very reasonably priced because it's a city park. But that also leads me to the first drawback: booking the location can be kind of a pain. Priority is given to Beverly Hills residents and non-residents can only book 6 months prior to the event. Also, because it's such a popular wedding location, it's hard to get the date you want and you may have to settle for a Friday or Sunday wedding. Another drawback to this location is that your event has to be finished by 8pm. This is why we did not have our reception here since we wanted an early evening wedding with a nighttime reception. Also, if you do have your reception here you have to bring in EVERYTHING. I wanted an easier option where someone would just take care of all those details for me, so that's another reason our reception wasn't here. Overall, the location is picture perfect for a ceremony and if you don't mind an earlier event or bringing in all your own stuff, it would be a gorgeous spot for a reception too. Also the park rangers are really helpful and nice. They make the day of your event go very smoothly. I loved my experience here and would give it 5 stars if not for the drawbacks listed above.
