Supported Layouts and Capacities
I can highly recommend planning your private party at Red Light Cafe, which is located on Amsterdam Avenue in downtown East Atlanta. I've hosted a number of private album release parties for local musicians and artists through this venue, and things have gone smoothly and without hassle every time. The staff is responsive to issues, courteous and helpful with planning and execution of your party. The venue serves wine and beer, but liquor is not on the menu, so keep this in mind if your party revolves around or will include drinking. They have a good selection of basic comfort foods- french fries, burgers, et cetera; they also include a number of healthier organic based selections. As far as entertainment options, there's a small (10 foot x10 foot) stage that can easily fit a four piece rock band. The house P.A. is more than adequate for the small venue, which can house around 100-150 people. The sound engineer is helpful and can deal with your band, DJ, or whatever musical entertainment act you have lined up for your party. The only limitations that you should keep in mind about Red Light Cafe are as follows: first, space and planned number of guests. If your party is going to be much larger than 75 people, space may a little tight for nicer social events. Secondly, there's no liquor on the menu, and that may be an issue for certain events. That being said, if they meet your requirements, I'd definitely give them a shot.
