Reverend Talavera and his wife, Lou Ann are the owners of the French Quarter Wedding Chapel. Reverend Tony Talavera and his bride, Lou Ann, of 14 years moved from Pennsylvania to New Orleans in 1999. Reverend Tony has been performing wedding services in New Orleans for over 6 years and as of the end of 2006 has officiated over 3000 weddings. He quit counting after that saying," Every wedding is special and shouldn't be numbered." Reverend Talavera is licensed by the state of Louisiana and the city of New Orleans. Reverend Talavera actively lobbies to bring the wedding industry to New Orleans and the state of Louisiana. In 2003 Reverend Talavera co-founded The Louisiana Wedding Association.
