Treat Meeting Attendees to a Unique Experience at the Museum Of Science and Industry - An Eventective User from Chicago, Illinois

Most people don't think of a museum when they're planning a meeting or event, but the Museum Of Science and Industry is a great place to consider hosting your gathering. First, it's located about 10 minutes from downtown Chicago, right off of Lake Shore Drive at 57th Street. Last year, I attended a conference at the museum. The sounds system was great and so was the food. There were two choices for meals: chicken and beef. I had the chicken and it was delicious. The food was probably the best thing about holding the meeting there. By the way, it was an evening meeting. It's important to note that you probably cannot have a daytime meeting there because the museum is open during that time. I drove when I attended the meeting, and I parked in the underground lot. There was no parking fee because I was attending the event. The other nice thing about the parking is that you won't have to worry about being exposed to the weather during a cold Chicago winter. In terms of the actual assistance during the meeting, the food servers and a tech person was on hand to make sure that everything went smoothly. As compared with other venues in the area, my boss said that it was about 20% more expensive. However, I think it was worth it because all of our guests were very impressed. They were able to see the different exhibits in the area where the meeting was held, so it was a lot more interesting that sitting in a giant meeting room or banquet hall with no directions. The museum is also accessible via public transportation and cabs in case everyone isn't driving. All in all, I would definitely recommend The Museum of Science and Industry as a meeting place in the Chicago area.
