About Museum Of World Treasures

The Museum of World Treasures was founded by Dr. Jon and Lorna Kardatzke and opened its doors for the first time on April 22, 2001 at the Garvey Center in downtown Wichita, Kansas. About two years later – due to tremendous growth – the museum relocated to what is affectionately known as the Farm & Art Market and changed from privately owned to a non-profit organization. The Museum of World Treasures is located in the Old Town district of Wichita, just east of downtown and was converted from a warehouse as were most of the multi-use buildings in the district. Experience a trip through time at one of the most interesting and exciting museums in America. You’ll be amazed as you discover our incredible collection of ten real dinosaurs, two Egyptian Mummies, an unequaled Hall of American Presidents exhibit, an extensive Militaria collection from the Revolutionary War, American Civil War, WW I, WW II, Korea and Vietnam, a Wild West exhibit, as well as a Music and Hollywood Stars exhibits. Children will also enjoy the Children's activity center including a Puppet Theater, and large play castle with costumes for the children to try on! The Museum of World Treasures offers several exciting options for your private functions. On our third level we have two meeting spaces that are perfect for a variety of functions including wedding receptions, class and/or family reunions, birthday parties, corporate training & seminars and social functions of all types. The Banquet Space seats approximately 175 for sit down functions or cocktail affairs. Our Board Room is multi-functional with flip top tables that can be configured in a variety of set-ups and executive seating that is contemporary and comfortable.
