This 1905 Victorian has been lovingly restored by its previous and current owners. The home was originally built on a high hill in Jacksonville, Texas. It was moved to its present location in Whitehouse, Texas, in 1996, where it was restored to its former beauty after sitting vacant for decades. The integrity of the home was carefully considered and still has its original floors, windows, fireplaces, and staircases, among many other details. The 1925 Carriage House was also moved to the present location and carefully restored. Don and Pam Hood, current owners, bought the home in 1998, added a large wrap-around porch deck, and opened it as a wedding venue in 2007 while also making it their home.
After many beautiful weddings and events, the Hoods took a break, moved into Tyler, and are now ready to share Victoria Station with the public again as an Inn and Wedding Event Center. The Hoods have added an open-air pavilion between the two buildings as an option for inclement weather or as a personal choice, serving as an open-air chapel or event venue. They now operate the main house and carriage houses as a fully operational inn, offering overnight accommodations for up to 12 guests.
