Great venue, good value, good food - but a bit disorganized — An Eventective User

I fell in love with this venue for my 55th birthday celebration. It's a great space and I even opted for a daytime party to have it here since the evening was not available. It's roomy, the sound system is great for the DJ to plug into, and the appetizers that we got with our package were absolutely delicious! Unfortunately there were a few hiccups that started the night off on the wrong foot. The morning of the event we were told that we couldn't access the space until 2 hours beforehand to decorate - which made me LATE to my own party - and then caused a whole DIFFERENT problem when they mistook my kids for paid staff (really?!?!) and wouldn't let attendees "freely roam" until I showed up and signed a "waiver"... so, there went the plan for a "grand entry". Also not to nitpick but at the time we were decorating the place hadn't been swept clean from the previous party. However, I can't complain about anything else. The staff was super friendly, and even though I didn't pay for it they provided servers for the food that we brought in. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Tom the manager was super nice at every step of the way, and a pleasure to work with! So in short: it's a great spot for a party... great staff... great food & drinks... great price... just make sure to dot your i's and cross your t's so there's no surprises.
