My wife and I were married on the baseball field before a Sacramento Rivercats game. they are the AAA divison farm team for the Oakland A's and I have been a season ticket holder for 10 years. I wanted to have a wedding that would be unique, affordable, and that no one would forget. The staff at Raley field went beyond my expectations. Thye haandled EVERYTHING and it was perfect! The ceremony went off without a hitch in front of our family, friends, and a few thousand baseball fans. The staff coordinated everything on their radios and it was perfectly timed but we didn't feel rushed, and the entire Rivercats staff was courteous and helpful. The reception was held during the game in one of their party suites, and the food was perfect. We had hot dogs, fuit and cheese platters, chicken, finger foods, some really wonderful saffron rice, and it was all hot (or cold as needed), well cooked, and tasty! We had two servers assigned to our suite and they took care of everything from making sure plates that were left on tables were cleaned up to making sure all the condiments were immediatly restocked and we had everything we needed. The price worked out to be (including food, game ticket, and the suite rental) only $65 per person. We opted not to have a bar in the suite (neither my wife or I drink) but there was a bar (and bathrooms) less than 200 feet from the suite. It may sound like an odd place for a wedding, but it was a great experience and one none of our guests will ever forget!
