About Bakehouse Events

During the week, Monday through Thursday, our carriage house rents for $50/hour with a 2 hour minimum. On the weekends, Friday through Sunday, our carriage house rents for $100/hour with a 3 hour minimum rental. We require a $125 check as a security deposit ($200 for evening events) that is used to secure your date and then we hold onto it until after your event to ensure there are no damages and that you stay within your rental time frame. Once the event is complete and there are no damages we simply rip the check up. Please note, the state of Missouri does require we charge sales tax so when you are figuring out the cost of your event please know this will need to be figured in. Our carriage house has a capacity for 40 guests with the doors down and a capacity of 50 guests with the doors up. You are renting our detached carriage house space directly off our main back patio. Our space is a fully finished, temperature controlled space that includes vintage furniture, a kitchenette with refrigerator, bathrooms, a 16' bar for serving food/drinks, and table seating for 32 along with additional mingling furniture. The tea room that occupies our main house and operates from 10am to 3pm Tuesday through Saturday, will be seating our main patio. Your event has access to a seating area on our main patio as well as our lower patio that is also directly accessible from the event space during these times. And if your event is after 3pm you have access to both patios. Your entire event as well as decorating and cleanup need to be done within your rental time. Cleanup is simple, we just ask that you leave our space as you found it. Please take all of your belongings with you and place all trash into the trash cans. We have a simple checklist that you can reference to make closing out your event easy. Most of our clients with a 2 hour event will rent for a 4 hour time frame to ensure they aren't rushed. You can handle food and drink however you choose, bring in food yourself or cater. We also carry a consumption license so you can bring in alcohol as well. I hosted my sisters bridal shower on April 10th 2022 at this venue. We were welcomed by the amazing host, who showed us around and offered us everything in the venue that we may need. The spacious rooms were more than big enough to fit the 30 people we had arrive. The back patio and picnic tables were nice for the beautiful weather. The decor is so pretty you could go without bringing your own decorations if you wanted too. Everything went so perfect for us and everyone was obsessed with the venue itself! I will be recommending the bakehouse for every venue needed from now on.

We cannot say enough about our experience with the Bakehouse; it was absolutely wonderful! The cottage-style house was very charming; it provided everything we needed - and then some! Cara was exceptionally warm & friendly, making every effort to ensure our daughter's wedding was all that we wanted it to be. If you'd like to see pictures, feel free to email me! As soon as the professional photos are back, we will share them with Cara so that she can add them to her website and show that the Bakehouse can be added as the perfect "Wedding" venue. Oh, and BTW, the bakery (which is in back of the cottage), has a wonderful menu and they baked the most beautiful (and delicious!) cake for our daughter & son-in-law. It's called "The Rosette" and you can find it on their website under "Cakes".
